Call for Applications: TRAVEL GRANTS for Graduate Students [EXPIRED]

The Puerto Rican Studies Association is very pleased to announce that it will award six $500 travel grants to graduate students to attend its 9th Biennial Conference in HartfordCT, on 21-23 October, 2010.

Application Process

Only graduate students who are PRSA members in good standing and who are scheduled to present a paper at the October 2010 conference in Hartford are eligible. Please submit a 500-word abstract of your paper, a graduate school transcript, and a cover letter that includes your name, contact information, discipline, and title of paper.

The deadline for submitting the application is August 31, 2010. Successful applicants will be notified by September 15, 2010. PRSA will reimburse the students for travel, lodging, per diem and registration up to $500. Students will be required to submit receipts, as well as a copy of the paper they are presenting during the conference.
